The garden at Orton Bradley Park is a comprehensive collection of old and new rhododendron hybrids as well as a large collection of New Zealand raised and registered hybrids. Also contained in the garden is a comprehensive rhododendron species collection...including many rare varieties. As well as the rhododendrons there is an extensive array of companion plants including some rare, small, companion trees. The garden is the special garden of the Canterbury Rhododendron Society and is part of the extensive, historical, Orton Bradley Park, a farm park, on the edge of Charteris Bay in Lyttleton Harbour.
